The bureau's program of work includes, but is not limited to:
- Promoting the Longview community, its attractions, activities, events, and hotels to the travelling public.
- Soliciting conferences, conventions and other meetings and promoting Longview as a meeting destination.
- Providing convention services to all meetings held in Longview which use Longview hotel rooms.
- Providing fulfillment of requests for visitor information.

Operating a visitors center at LCVB offices which provides informational brochures and material.

Providing pre-meeting planning assistance to local organizations, associations, clubs and businesses.
