The Longview Convention and Visitors Bureau was formed in its present state with the Longview Partnership in 1994. Sparked by a vision shared by Longview business and civic leaders, plans were made and implemented to merge the Longview Convention and Visitors Bureau with the Longview Chamber of Commerce and the Longview Downtown Development Corporation.This group of key leaders recognized the benefits that would result from the unified efforts of these three organizations, which shared major objectives.

The Longview Convention and Visitors Bureau has a staff of three. The bureau's program of work includes, but is not limited to:

  • Promoting the Longview community, its attractions, activities, events, and hotels to the travelling public.
  • Soliciting conferences, conventions and other meetings and promoting Longview as a meeting destination.
  • Providing convention services to all meetings held in Longview which use Longview hotel rooms.
  • Providing fulfillment of requests for visitor information.
  • Operating a visitors center at LCVB offices which provides informational brochures and material.
  • Providing pre-meeting planning assistance to local organizations,associations, clubs and businesses.
