Day One Itinerary

8 am

Enjoy some of the best coffee in town along with a pastry at Silver Grizzly Espresso. This cool, downtown spot is a local favorite and boasts two different grizzly bear murals on the premises-- one inside the coffee shop and one on the exterior wall.

10 am

You'll love the thrill of zip lining through the Piney Woods at Thomas Falls Outdoor Adventures. Located just 15 minutes north of Longview, Thomas Falls has beautiful views, nature trails, towering trees, and a 60-foot cliff overlook.

1 pm

Head to one of the oldest honkeytonks in the South, the REO Starplex. You'll be ready for fried pickles, meat-lovers pizza, or fish & chips.  Then roller skate in this historic venue that has hosted Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Elvis Presley.

4 pm

Stop for small batch ice cream at Wild Honey Creamery on Tyler Street. They feature delicious flavors like Churro (Mexican vanilla and cinnamon) and Apple Pie Jam Swirl (sweet cream ice cream with a generous swirl of Greer Farms Apple Pie Jam). 

5 pm

Enjoy dinner at Roma's Italian Kitchen just down from the scoop shop. Roma's has everything from Chicken Alfredo Pizza to Stuffed Manicotti. You'll love the rustic brick walls and wooden floors at this beautiful, downtown hot spot.

7 pm

Finish your evening with dessert at The Butcher Shop. Their bakery makes tantalizing pies and petits fours and they serve a tasty cup of Joe, too.
