Parade starts at 6:30 p.m. 


Join us in Downtown Longview for this annual tradition that includes marching bands, floats, and an appearance by Santa! The 2023 Downtown Longview AMBUCS Christmas Parade will be held Thursday, December, 7.  The Parade is organized by Downtown Longview (also known as One Hundred Acres of Heritage), Longview Main Street and Longview AMBUCS. The title sponsor is Peters Chevrolet Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat. 


Parade Route

The parade route travels through Downtown Longview, traveling primarily on Whaley Street and Methvin Street around the Gregg County Courthouse. 

  • Parade Starts at intersection of Whaley Street and Green Street
  • Travels west along Whaley Street
  • Turns south on Horaney Street
  • Turns east on Methvin Street
  • Parade concludes at intersection of Methvin Street and Third Street 

Road Closures

Several downtown streets will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the day of the parade. Barricades will be placed around an approximate eight-block area east of Gregg County Courthouse and the 300 block of E. Methvin Street. Access to the outdoor drive-through locations of Texas Bank and Trust will be permitted until 6 p.m. Dricers should use extra caution when driving near the parade route and staging area. Downtown streets will re-open after the event. 

Food Trucks and Restrooms

Food trucks and restrooms will be available at Heritage Plaza, 219 E. Methvin Street. Restrooms will also be available at intersections throughout the parade route. 

Parade Staging

Specific staging location and information is sent to registered parade entries prior to the event. The staging area will be along Whaley Street from Green Street east to Fourth Street. Line up in the staging area beginning at 5:00 p.m. After the parade, all units will re-enter the staging area at Methvin and Third Street before disbanding. 

Registration Information: 

Registration is currently closed. Be in the parade by registering online or print and return the registration form. Drop it by Visit Longview's office at 109 W. Tyler St. The registration deadline is Nov. 10, 2023.
