Longview Symphony Turns 50

Musicians play violins in symphony orchestra

The Longview Symphony has been bringing classical music to East Texas since 1969. This season, they have been celebrating with a gala at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts and a special 50th anniversary concert, featuring their first conductor, James Snowden.

The season continues through the spring, including free noontime Bach’s Lunch concerts, an intimate home concert in Henderson, and a fun and interactive evening of Pasta & Pianos. On Star Wars Day, May 4, 2019, be sure to join the Symphony at the Belcher Center in a tribute to the music of the movies: May the 4th Be With You!
